‘Harassing Heather’ Boyd’s Sexual Harassment Cover Up Still Affects Multiple Survivors

Politician Boyd Admitted She Covered Up And Asks Voters to Look the Other Way Again UPPER DARBY, PA – HRCC responded to the lies being told by Heather Boyd and her supporters regarding her central role in the sexual harassment cover up that led to women being sexually harassed for four years after she knew. “Heather Boyd admitted she is a politician and party boss who put political power ahead of the people of the 163rd District and the women in the Capitol,” said House GOP Caucus Secretary Martina White (HD-170). “Boyd’s allies can’t wash off the stain of this cover up from her character. Our grassroots campaign hears every day that citizens don’t want an extreme politician like ‘Harassing Heather’ Boyd.” Boyd’s supporters are now in full panic mode as voters are rejecting Boyd as a co-conspirator in the sexual harassment scheme that affected many women over the past four years. After learning of the sexual harassment attack, rather than both respecting an accuser’s wishes and denying an endorsement to the sexual harasser, Boyd endorsed the harasser in two more elections. Perhaps believing that one sexual harassment attack she knew about was not enough to call for a change in Representatives, Boyd confirmed her involvement and was quoted in The Philadelphia Inquirer saying, “I thought he made a bad decision.” State Representative Abby Major (HD-60) endured an attack years after Boyd knew about the history of sexual harassment. She stood up at a March press conference and said, “I never wanted to be the face of this story. As I said earlier, my story is one of the mildest of the ones that I personally know. [SEIU lobbyist Andi Perez] was so brave standing up. I wanted the rest of our stories to back hers up to show that this was not a one-time event. I didn’t want them to say it was a misunderstanding or try to sweep it under the rug. I wanted to scream, ‘This is a pattern!’ I wanted the evidence to be overwhelming.” Today, Major offered the following remarks, “I am one of the survivors. Covering up sexual harassment for four years for your political ally disqualifies you to honorably serve in the State House of Representatives. This isn’t a partisan issue. On behalf of many survivors, I hope that Democrats, Republicans, and Independents live up to our shared values on defeating sexual harassment and hold Heather Boyd accountable for those who endured these terrible incidents, unnecessarily, for many years.” The 163rd District Special Election takes place on May 16th at the same time as the Municipal Primary. All registered voters in the 163rd District are eligible to vote in the Special Election. ‘Harassing’ Heather Boyd Pushes Victim Shaming As

Her Closing Argument to Voters

UPPER DARBY, PA – HRCC responded to politician Heather Boyd’s comments in the Penn Capital-Star article where Boyd doubled down on her cover up of the sexual harassment scandal and started victim shaming as the latest excuse. “Heather Boyd stoops lower and lower whether it is lying about Katie Ford’s beliefs, attacking Katie for prioritizing her child with special needs, or blaming women who endured sexual harassment because of her cover up,” said HRCC Chairman Josh Kail (HD-15). “Doubling down on a sexual harassment cover up as ‘trust’ is why voters are rejecting Heather Boyd.” As a reminder, Boyd has tried to distract from her role as a co-conspirator in the sexual harassment scheme that affected many women over the past four years. After learning of the sexual harassment, rather than both respecting an accuser’s wishes and denying an endorsement to the sexual harasser, Boyd endorsed the harasser in two more elections. In the photo above, Boyd is posing with a Mike Zabel sign on September 17, 2022 and posted the photo online. Boyd further started her victim shaming campaign in a last desperate attempt to fool voters. Boyd ignored the comments of State Representative Abby Major (HD-60) who endured an attack years after Boyd knew about the history of sexual harassment. Representative Major stood up at a March press conference in support of a victim and said, “I never wanted to be the face of this story. I wanted to scream, ‘This is a pattern!’ I wanted the evidence to be overwhelming.” To hear Abby Major’s story directly and Heather Boyd’s role in the cover up, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFbO5xPcn9k.
